Evil not Sick

The country is in a frightening place these days. This past Saturday evening, another attempt occured on the President’s life during the alleged bipartisan White House Correspondence Dinner in Washington, D.C. What has become an all too familiar story, the narrative pronounces the assailant as a “sick” person. Even Trump used the euphemism, probably without much forethought.

It could be argued that any person willing to throw their life away by taking another’s is a sick person, and it would be hard to argue against it except for the fact that it most times refers to a psychological or physiological malady. It sure seems that it isn’t the case with the would-be killer.

Reports indicate he was from Torrance, CA, and attended CalTech, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He was active in a Christian group during his time in college, but somewhere along the way, he lost his faith. At 31 years old, he was working at C2, a tutoring and test-preparation company, and received the ‘Teacher of the Month ‘ award in December 2024.

Nothing in his biography even remotely indicates a serious mental sickness. Nothing indicates his murderous plans against the President and his Cabinet have anything to do with hearing voices or hallucinating.  It is prime time we stop calling a will to kill a sickness instead of what it is, and a willful and evil act motivated by who knows what.

Supposedly, we think we live in a civil society where a basic golden rule is in play, “do unto others as they would have them do unto you.” Most of society tries to follow a semblance of decency, which makes it harder to accept what just happened—accepting the fact that an individual, you may know or live next to, who seems fine, has the potential and the desire to kill another human person.   A neighbor who seems fine is methodically being brainwashed by the American Left to be one of their killers.

How can so much hate and anger be in the hearts of those who show no sign of previous violence that leads them to want to kill or hurt another? How did those on the side of evil recruit so many young people who would willingly give up their freedom for a life sentence? It is such an extreme position that it almost is the antithesis of a martyr giving his life up for Christ.

The Left has saturated public discourse with lie after lie; the truth is nowhere to be found. These young people are looking to address their angst. Unfortunately, instead of looking to God for clarity, they look to deceivers promising them a license to do whatever they want, whenever they want.

When a person who lacks mental strength continually hears that the President is a fascist or Nazi with a plan to ruin democracy and never questions the claims, it produces a radicalized killer. When the supposed legal killing of the unborn is normalized, taking the life of another is acceptable.  It is then that Christianity and patriotism are bastardized. These weak-minded future assassins, in their impotence, can only lash out, cheered on by the Left as virtuous and supported by the corrupted media.

The recent would-be and actual assassins have a common denominator: they think they are called to be the hero of the moment, saving the country from destruction. The public will know their names and, in time, will care less as they rot away in a prison cell for life. Is that enough motivation to throw a life away? Or are we, unfortunately, witnessing in prime time a soul corrupted and taken over by evil?

The assassination of the Healthcare executive in New York, the attempted assassinations of Trump three times, and the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk were at the hands of evil men, not sick ones. America has a problem; the guy next door who seems to be just another guy will be the one to surrender to evil and lash out at some time and some place.  It is an attack on what is righteous and good, and we are all less as a country for having witnessed this evil.  We see it far too often. Good-willed men and women must fight not to be accustomed to death at the hands of another.

It is hard to believe the American Left embodied in the Democratic Party still has so much support. The majority of teachers, clergy, and union members still accept and vote for the leadership of a political party that fosters such activities to gain and retain power. Hopefully, these voters will come to their senses before the country collapses and their lives are at risk. Then it will be too late for everyone.
