The Democratic Governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healy, recently signed a new law allowing abortion up until the moment of birth. If this was not bad enough, she was surrounded by a cadre of ghoulish women who smiled with approval and applauded as Healy signed this barbaric practice into law. This legislation, for all intents and purposes, amounts to infanticide.
Just a few days later, hundreds of Massachusetts women clad in garish pink clothing gathered near Plymouth Superior Courthouse to take videos of and cheer on child killer Lindsay Clancy as she arrived for her trial to determine whether she is criminally responsible for the deaths of her children. Clancy has admitted to strangling her three young children with exercise bands, but she has pleaded not guilty due to a sudden onset of postpartum psychosis. These pro-death groupies took selfies with Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, and some even brought their babies and children to this disturbing show of support.
In both cases, liberal feminist women are siding with the premeditated killing of innocent children. In abortion, they claim it is a right and a choice to end a pregnancy, and in the case of Linsey Clancy, she is somehow excused from any accountability because she has a mental illness. According to these sick people, being an emancipated, empowered woman means you are able to kill your child without impunity. How did we get to this disastrous point in our culture?
The advent of feminism and its goal of making women no different from men has created generations of women disconnected from their own maternal instincts. Feminism has turned into a death cult where the ultimate power a woman has is to kill your own child. Feminism encourages independent, aggressive, bossy, loud, and most importantly highly selfish women. Girls are told from little on that they need not to submit to anyone. They are told their wishes and desires are the number one priority and that they should engage in a tremendous amount of self-centered activities to find true happiness.
Unfortunately, this warped thinking is not limited to only Massachusetts. Hundreds of women around the country began posting TikTok videos showing solidarity with Clancy. In very unsettling videos, women videoed themselves holding their own children and saying truly frightening things like, “We are all Lindsay Clancy” or “Me Too Lindsay” while the voice of Kevin Reddington narrates the me-centered narcissistic journals of Lindsay Clancy complaining about her life and the various demands of motherhood.
Mind you that at the time these journals were written, Clancy had three beautiful and healthy children, Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months); a supportive and gainfully employed husband who worked from home; a part-time nanny who also provided housekeeping duties; help from both her mother and in-laws; and a beautiful home. Her older children were enrolled in preschool for 3 ½ days, she belonged to a gym with built-in childcare, and apparently had enough “me” time to constantly obsess about herself in her journal. The family had health insurance, and Clancy constantly switched doctors to feel better. All the while, she was not forthcoming about her medical history, was not following the prescription instructions, and declined recommended in-person therapy sessions.
Due to her case, there has been a tremendous amount of noise right now about postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. It makes one wonder how women in the past who had very large families of 6,7,8 or 9 children somehow managed not to strangle their offspring. Giving birth is a tremendous spiritual, emotional, and physical challenge; however, it is not a disease like cancer or arthritis.
The first few weeks after bringing a baby home can change a family’s normal routines. Newborn babies do not sleep through the night and can sometimes cry inconsolably. Perhaps the dishes don’t get washed, or the laundry isn’t done, or the new mom stays in her pajamas until noon. Eventually, with help and support, the family finds their equilibrium and adapts to the new family member. This is a natural and normal process, not something to be pathologized. Those mothers seeking perfection with themselves, their bodies, or their children are doomed for failure, as being a parent of a small child is a messy business.
In one of the more telling journal entries, Clancy listed her demands for happiness: 8-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep, 1-2 hours in the morning for herself, and several hours in the evening of adult time with her husband. In this scenario, she wanted to devote more than half of the day to herself and her own pursuits. No wonder motherhood did not suit her. Maybe someone should have told her before she had children that being a mother is a 24-7 job filled with many sleepless nights and thankless tasks. Motherhood is also filled with immense joy and incalculable love if a woman can find it in her heart to embrace a servant mentality.
Many young mothers today use their children as props to brag about and post to social media. They want all the accolades of motherhood without its actual sacrifices. They want to appear to be a great, loving, and devoted mom to their families and friends for their own aggrandizement, not for their children’s benefit. They want to be perceived as the woman who does it all – looks pretty and fit right after giving birth, juggles work and family, has a beautiful home, and has the perfect life. But it is all a façade curated for likes, clicks, and undeserved affirmation. Lindsay Clancy is the poster child for this fake self-absorbed life. She’s not some feminist folk heroine.
Rest in peace, sweet Cora, Dawson, and Callan, and all those aborted babies without names that have been brutally murdered at the hands of their own mothers. May God have mercy on those who have committed these heinous crimes.
