Target is once again the target

Well-known retail chain Target has been in the business of promoting homosexuality and transgenderism for some time. In 2016, Target was one of the first companies to allow men dressed as women in women’s restrooms and changing areas. In response to threats of a boycott following customer complaints – including male sexual predators using their newfound access to peep into women’s bathroom stalls, use cameras to “upskirt” women and exposing their male genitalia – Target announced that it would spend $20 million to install “gender neutral” bathrooms in all its U.S. stores.

A year later, Target CEO Brian Cornell admitted to the Wall Street Journal that the transgender bathroom policy was a mistake, and that the giant retailer “didn’t adequately assess the risk and the ensuing backlash was self-inflicted.”

Nevertheless, since 2013 the big box retailer continued to shove “Pride” in the faces of the vast majority of their customers, who are heterosexual. And now Target has stepped so completely over the line of decency that no Christian can continue to shop there.

How bad is it?

Is an avowed Satanist bragging about her/his line of merchandise at Target bad enough for you?

Is selling a line of transgender clothing, including “tuck-friendly” bathing suits and chest binders for children and even infants bad enough for you?

In a pathetic attempt at damage control, Target announced that it would “make adjustments” to its LBGT-themed merchandise. But the company has clearly not learned its lesson from the past boycott. On May 16, Cornell claimed that his company’s diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) policies “fueled much of our growth,” and are “a great thing for our brand.”

Elites like Cornell don’t shop at Target. The vast majority of its customers are middle-class heterosexuals. Target is pushing this rainbow garbage because the people who run the company and own most of its stock think they can pander to a tiny minority of “woke” activists and get away with it.

That was the same thinking behind Anheuser Bush’s Bud Light fiasco. Bud Light used to be the top-selling beer in the U.S. But after a three-month boycott, AB is now having to buy back expired beer from its distributors.

“What Target is doing is far worse than anything Bud Light did,” tweeted the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh. “Target is calling our bluff. But just like any other company, they need our business. We did it with Bud Light. Now it’s Target’s turn.”

Now it’s Target’s turn.

And for all those “Yes, but…” Christians who won’t stand up against anything – including the sexual grooming of innocent children – if it inconveniences them in any way, Jesus had something to say to them: “Because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.” (Rev. 3:16)
