We’re Not Out of the Woods Yet

Rooting Out Bad Deep State Actors

Through the efforts of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), wasteful federal spending has been brought to the forefront, and the public agrees that the government audit is long overdue.  Recent polls from Harris have garnered staggering support from voters. More than 83% of voters favor reducing government spending over higher taxes, and 77% agree to audit all government expenditures thoroughly.

Although grift and corruption account for some of the Deep State’s antics, they aren’t the only problem. The moral rot accompanying the misuse of money should be of equal concern. Recent revelations about immoral employee conduct within agencies dedicated to the defense of the American people are as much a threat against liberty, if not more.

Examples of Deep State Rot

Employees from our national intelligence organizations used government-funded computers to engage in  ‘chat room” behavior while being paid for jobs they obviously weren’t doing. That’s the least of the problems because the chats were not about an upcoming wedding or other wholesome topics. No, the chats contained obscene, pornographic, and sexually explicit chatrooms. Thankfully, those employees have been fired. The silver lining to this episode is Elon Musk’s comment, “At least we know what they did on their jobs last week.”

Other Deep State employees at the FBI are being accused of destroying evidence of past investigations, which would implicate them in previous wrongdoing. According to a whistle-blower, Garret O’Boyle, the FBI has deleted information from servers since the November election. On his X account, O’Boyle describes himself as an indefinitely suspended FBI agent. Greg Price posted that O’Boyle testified in 2023 to Congress about the weaponization of the FBI and the reprisal of the Bureau towards him. “The FBI will crush you. This government will crush you and your family if you try to expose the truth about things they are doing that are wrong.” If O’Boyle’s account is accurate, it is scary to think the premiere federal law enforcement agency is living a double life. The FBI investigates legitimate wrongdoings while subverting the law whenever they see fit, an unsustainable position for an agency with so much power.

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the shadowy spy agency, is yet another source of the Deep State. You may remember when Trump was elected in 2016 and was speaking about cleaning up Washington D.C., and Senator Chuck Schumer warned Trump that the CIA “has six ways to Sunday to get President Trump.”  Trump’s subsequent impeachment attempts and lawfare may have been the retribution Schumer inferred.

The transparency of the present administration is indeed flushing out bad actors. Tulsi Gabbard, the head of National Intelligence, told Jesse Watters from Fox News that there are disgruntled agents unhappy with DOGE might engage in treasonous espionage against the country in protest. Gabbard explained, “I am curious how they think this is a good tactic to keep their job. They’re exposing themselves essentially by making this indirect threat using their propaganda arm through CNN that they’ve used over and over and over again to reveal their hand that their loyalty is not at all to America.

The Deep State is real, and the country is nowhere out of the woods yet. The surface seems to be only scratched. We can only hope that if there is more to come, it will come soon. But don’t be overly optimistic; the Deep State is very deep.
