The Ridiculousness of Speaking with American Men (SAM)
Last week, Good Moral Compasses opined on Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s immoral and tone-deaf statement, thinking that greater access to pornography is the way to attract more young men to support the Democratic Party. The essay broached the topic of Speaking with American Men, and the strategic approach cost the Democrats over $20 million, but did not dive deeply into the subject.
SAM is an attempt “to study the syntax, language, and content that gains attention and vitality in male-dominated spaces online (such as video games).” Ilyse Hogue is spearheading the study, and her background proves that the Democrats have no intention of veering from their ideological extremism.
Hogue couldn’t be more of a poster child for the radical left. Throughout her working career, she has been involved in leftist organizations. She led MoveOn.org, a leftist organization pushing social justice and political change. MoveOn claims its organization is more than just a name. “It is our challenge to America: to move forward boldly and fearlessly, upholding and enacting the values that will make our country work for all of us. We are the many, and we are powerful. Every day, together, we fight to win. It’s what we’ve always done. It’s what we’re built to do.”
Houge’s pedigree for radical leftist principles continued as a senior advisor to Media Matters. But more than her stints at liberal organizations, her ten-year tenure as President and CEO of NARAL (National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws) tells the tale more clearly.
Hogue has openly admitted that during graduate school, she had an abortion. She says, “The decision wasn’t easy, but the procedure was.” For a woman who spent a good deal of her professional career working to make abortion easier for other women, her comments about her decision are either disingenuous or confused. She tries to play both sides, but her actions speak louder than words. And ten years of working for making more abortions available in America leads to the question of her alleged difficult decision to abort her baby.
Whether or not her decision was difficult, she still advocates that the only solution to an unplanned pregnancy is to consider the woman first and her needs. The unborn baby is collateral damage for these types, and any alternative is just too much work or may interfere with their goals. The bottom line is she advocates for an easier way to kill babies, and no semantics can change it. Plenty of women faced with a situation similar to Hogue’s refrained from killing their babies.
A common-sense observation as to how a woman who has wrapped up her life in propagating and easy access to abortion for women has any sense of what will bring men back to her party? Simply, it won’t because Hogue and the Democrats are blind to what happened in electing Donald Trump to his second term.
Throughout the previous administration, the constant drumbeat of multiple genders and the supposed right to kill your child finally hit the wall. What men, through their vote, were saying to the deaf Democratic Party is that they were sick and tired of women projecting their irrational and emotional baggage onto them.
Men want to be men, meaning they acknowledge the truth that there are only two sexes and that their role as males is not some hybrid effeminate unisex creature. They see themselves as individuals with inherent male characteristics, translating into attributes consistent with what a man should be. Men are wired to support and protect and even take risks when necessary. Hogue can never begin to understand that men do not want to be told who they should be through a radical female perspective.
If the Democrats heed this advice, they could save $20 million. Thankfully, they will not, and the $20 million won’t be spent on ruining the culture even more than they have. The Democratic Party has learned nothing and will continue to go down $20 million rabbit holes, and SAM is a good indicator that they have no clue.
