The Ultimate Election Interference

Iran Has a Contract on Trump’s Head

On Tuesday night, the Trump campaign was briefed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that Iran has issued real and specific threats against him. The real and specific threats are another way of saying Iran plans to assassinate him. American official’s spin is to claim Iran wants to avenge the death of Qasem Soleimani, who was killed by a drone ordered by then-President Trump.

The explanation is skeptical on its face. Soleimani was killed in January 2020, four years ago. The attempts on Trump’s life are recent and alarming, and the timing indicates Iran’s desire to kill the presidential candidate this close to the election must be driven by more than just revenge. What is more believable is the threat from Iran is the epitome of election interference.

Throughout the election cycle of 2016 and his presidency, and even now, the Democratic Party kept parroting the line Russia is in cahoots with Trump to destroy democracy. Although the claim has been thoroughly debunked, it hasn’t stopped the other side from alleging a close relationship between Trump and Putin.

In a digital world, the accusations against Trump were known, even to religious despots in Iran. They saw half of the country willing to destroy their opponent for political gain and control. It takes a short leap to think if a country can hamstring a candidate by rhetoric, how much more could it affect an election if the candidate was killed?

In 1979, after the Islamic Revolution, Iran was governed by a theocracy hostile to the West and especially the United States. Never once did Iran act as brazenly as it does today by threatening the president or a presidential candidate—until now. There is proof to substantiate this claim.

The authorities foiled the first attempt on Trump’s life with a would-be assassin with ties to Iran. Asif Merchant, a Pakistani national, was charged with a murder-for-hire plot with links to Iran. FBI director Christopher Wray described it this way. “This dangerous murder-for-hire plot exposed in today’s charges allegedly was orchestrated by a Pakistani national with close ties to Iran and is straight out of the Iranian playbook. “A foreign-directed plot to kill a public official, or any U.S. citizen, is a threat to our national security.”

The Butler Pennsylvania assassination attempt, which injured Trump, was blamed on 20-year-old Thomas Crooks. So far, there has been no information about this young man’s connections nor his motives for shooting at Trump. The public is not privy to any information about the attack, and most of the reporting is surrounded by the failure of the Secret Service. Curiously, the FBI site dedicated to the evidence of the shooting listed in search engines only results in an FBI symbol indicating the request has been blocked.  Until more information becomes available, Crooks just might have been connected with Iran in some way.

The Mar-A-Lago assassination attempt also raises some interesting facts. ABC is reporting that the would-be assassin, Ryan Routh, in his self-published book, wrote that Iran should “feel free to assassinate Trump.” What!

Strangely, would Routh write that phrase in his self-published book in 2023 if there weren’t more to it than an unhinged thought?  Routh, a rabid supporter of Ukraine, could have said the same about Ukrainian officials but seems to have left that out of his book.

The Iranian threats against Trump are real, and they have to do with the fear he may be elected in November. Trump has hammered the present administration on its policy with Iran as being dangerous and helpful to Iran. The present administration’s dealings with Iran made them a wealthy nation by selling their oil on the world market and lifting the sanctions imposed by the former president.  In essence, under Trump, Iran was bankrupt; under Biden/Harris, they are flush with cash.

Iran has a lot to lose, and they know it. Now that they are embroiled in the war with Israel as a proxy supplying arms to Hamas and Hezbollah, a shift in foreign policy would economically cripple them. Without funds, they could not support their satellite terrorist organizations against Israel and inhibit their nuclear bomb program. This is why they want Harris to be elected. By killing Trump, the problem is over. There can be no more significant election interference than to kill the opponent and help install the administration favorable to their national goals of terror.

If you haven’t already heard Trump’s response, you should. He wrote on X and was read by millions.

“Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before.

There is more to Trump’s response than meets the eye, especially when he references the military. Time will tell what he means.
