The New Pro-Life Generation

The pro-life movement has made incredible strides with the younger generation. Many youth groups have made this the civil rights issue of our time as they work to abolish legal abortion in our country. According to March for Life, “Young people are increasingly pro-life, which is evident as thousands of youth travel to the March for Life each year. Trends show that support of unlimited access to abortion by young people has dropped 12 percent points since 1990.” Support for overturning Roe v. Wade is also growing the fastest among young adults.

Here’s another optimistic statistic, “According to a NARAL [National Abortion Rights Action League] study, 51% of pro-life voters under 30 consider a candidate’s stance on abortion very important, yet only 26% of pro-abortion voters of the same group consider a candidate’s stance on abortion to be very important.” In addition, the number of abortions in the US has declined since 1990.

Many prolife activists, including youth groups, are making their way to Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life which will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022. This march is the poster child for what a ‘peaceful protest’ should look like. Men and women of all races and faiths marching side by side praying, holding up signs in defense of the most vulnerable among us – the unborn.

At the March for Life there are no obscene costumes, signs, or agitated unhinged actresses screaming at the crowd like Busy Phillipps once did at a pro-choice rally. Obviously, the rage and hollow justification Busy is inflicting on the audience is masking a great deal of pain she must be holding on to after all these years. One can only feel sorry for her that she believed the lies of the pro-choice movement that she would be happier and more fulfilled if she aborted her baby. One can clearly see that she is not at all happy.

Before the scourge of Covid-19, the annual March for Life drew enormous crowds especially in 2020 when President Trump was a featured in-person speaker. It is estimated that over 800,000 people were in attendance that year. True to form, the mainstream media has barely given the March for Life a whisper since its inception in 1974, and when they do report on it, often downplay the number in attendance. Clearly, pro-choice lobbies and their sycophants in media are scared of the change of heart that is taking place in our country, especially with the young.

For all of you have worked tirelessly in the pro-life movement for years, be encouraged! The tide is turning and the conscience of the American people is finally reawakening. From the Texas heartbeat bill to other legislation in conservative states, we are winning this fight. Our faith filled youth have understood the human rights abuse and violence that abortion inflicts on both unborn babies and women.  Many, many people of all ages are fighting the propaganda of Planned Parenthood and the corrupt politicians who not only benefit from, but support this killing machine. We must continue the fight but can also have hope that someday soon Roe v. Wade will become nothing more than a huge blemish on our country’s noble history once it is finally revoked and overturned. For all those pro-life warriors who are attending the March for Life in person this year, we thank you for your commitment to the unborn and pray for your safe travel to and from the march.  Godspeed!

ETWN’s Prayer for the Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.
Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.
Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image – as well as theirs – made for eternal life.
Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.

Amen.
