Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, recently released company files to journalist Matt Taibbi, in a 36 tweet thread called the “Twitter Files”. The thread outlined the internal process of how top Twitter executives censored the Hunter Biden laptop story and kept it from the public before the 2020 presidential election.
What came to light from the thread is anyone who tried to report on the scandal or simply shared the story was treated the same as a person who was promoting child pornography and their tweets were immediately taken down.
News about Biden’s laptop began to surface in October of 2020, just a month before the national election. It was reported, most notably by the New York Post, the laptop chronicled the corruption of the Biden family with foreign adversaries through a collection of emails, phone and text messages. The laptop also contained a fair number of degenerative photos and videos of Hunter in compromising situations. Not surprisingly, the New York Post was suspended from Twitter for eight crucial weeks after their initial reporting.
The documents released by Musk proves what many have already suspected but couldn’t definitely verify – namely, the social media giant had its hand on the political scale heavily favoring the Democrats and Biden during the runup to the 2020 election. It is no longer conjecture , but fact. The ‘October surprise’ would have altered the results of the 2020 presidential election. The amount of evidence surfacing has finally made the Legacy media admit the laptop story was not misinformation or some conspiracy theory.
While the systematic suppression of Hunter Biden laptop at Twitter is a scandal of epic proportions in American history, the real harm to democracy is not just censorship, but who was behind the censorship. We now know, the United States Security State (FBI, CIA, NSA and presumably others) actively and deliberately deceived the American people about the laptop’s authenticity and the national security implications found within. By so doing, they interfered with the 2020 presidential election and put our country at great risk.
The New York Post originally published the Hunter Biden laptop story on October 14, 2020. Five days later, and just a little over two weeks before the election, fifty-one former senior intelligence officials (including the likes of Jim Clapper John Brennan, Michael Hayden and Leon Panetta) falsely claimed the laptop was Russian disinformation and issued a joint letter. The letter was circulated in spite of the fact that the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) at that time, John Ratcliffe, said the laptop was not Russian disinformation. But the letter and its pretense gave Biden the cover he needed to not only weather the storm surrounding the story, but also accuse Trump once again of Russian collusion.
Miranda Devine, a New York Post reporter, who had worked extensively on this story and has written a book entitled Laptop From Hell stated that the FBI had been in possession of Hunter’s laptop since December of 2019. The computer repair shop owner, Jon Paul Mac Isaac, had given it to the FBI, and in her words, “they buried it.” Devine also stated on Fox News that she has seen a sworn affidavit from Yoel Roth, the former head of Twitter’s Trust and Safety Division, stating that he was meeting every week before the election with FBI and other intelligence officials. No doubt, the FBI had the laptop for 11 months and knew it was not Russian disinformation but still peddled the story that the contents of the laptop was fake and/or hacked by the Russians.
Devine has also stated the evidence is overwhelming because the FBI was spying on Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s attorney, and knew he had evidence of the pay to play scheme of the Biden family. The FBI accessed Giuliani’s cloud account as early as August 2020, when Jon Paul Mac Isaac reached out to Giuliani with his initial email appealing to him to do something, fearing that the federal government was not actively pursuing the case. The FBI was also spying on Devine and her communications with Giuliani. Through these communications the FBI knew exactly when the New York Post was going to drop the story and “seeded” a hack/leak narrative that might possibly involve Hunter Biden. The social media companies were forewarned so when the story officially broke, they would be ready to immediately suppress it. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook admitted as much on an episode with Joe Rogan.
While it is easy to blame the social media companies for their obvious left leaning biased approach to the dissemination of information prior the 2020 election, the real culpability lies with the FBI and the security state. Former FBI general counsel, Jim Baker, infamous for his involvement in the Russian collusion hoax, just happened to be employed at Twitter as deputy general counsel during this time. He urged Twitter to suppress the story stating without any evidence, “it’s reasonable for us to assume that they may have been [hacked] and that caution is warranted.” What are the chances that this political hack would be involved in not one, but two instances of peddling demonstrably false information?
The federal security agencies are filled with unelected bureaucrats who apparently now have the power not only interfere elections and circumvent democracy, but also simultaneously punish their ideological opponents. The very agencies that were originally created to keep the American people safe have turned on us. You can only draw one conclusion: we are all living in police state reminiscent of the totalitarian regimes of Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini and Mao Zedong. This is not an exaggeration as one only has to see how many pro-life activists have been raided by the FBI.
The meddling isn’t only domestic. There is also an inkling that Twitter has had a hand in the presidential election in Brazil where Marxist leader Lula da Silva supposedly defeated the popular incumbent Jair Bolsonaro. Musk admits he has seen “a lot of concerning tweets” regarding this election. It is widely known the CIA is in the regime change business frequently overthrowing foreign governments.
While the Twitter Files have been useful to peer into the belly of the beast, Elon Musk also needs to release all the communications from federal agencies during the Covid-19 pandemic and help us understand why the NIAID, CDC, FDA advocated for lockdowns and masks, forced risky vaccinations, and suppressed early therapeutics. It is only through total transparency, investigations, and public outrage that these agencies will ever be brought to heel and true democracy is restored.
