Now that the news has spread that Hunter Biden was pardoned by his father, the President, no one is surprised. A bit curious is that the pardon is applicable for almost eleven years. Prima facia evidence suggests that Hunter might have been involved in additional criminal behavior from 2014 until now, which has not been reported or uncovered.
Pundits across the media spectrum are dissecting the development and noting that President Biden has reneged on his promise never to pardon his son. Others commented on the hypocrisy of Biden and his party when they used lawfare to entrap Trump and his followers, chanting the mantra ‘that no one is above the law.’ The pardon makes it clear that the overused phrase is a political tool used by Democrats against their opponents and is not meant for everyone, just those who oppose them.
All of that aside, the sad revelation is not that a person is getting off scot-free from criminal behavior but the tragic relationship between a son and his father. With all that has been reported from the contents of the famous laptop, a pretty clear picture of who Hunter Biden is has been made known to the public.
A report generated after the laptop was analyzed showed that it was the smoking gun that had been used to describe Hunter’s activities over the past decade. The report indicated a potential of 459 crimes committed by Hunter. The evidence also portrayed a man out of control, addicted to hard drugs, waving around a firearm that he videoed during his escapades. His affair with his sister-in-law and his promiscuous behavior with other women revealed a picture of someone needing substantial help.
To say the Biden family is oblivious to his behavior is simply ludicrous. Unlike his brother Beau, who died from brain cancer in 2015, Hunter never seemed to achieve the same status as his brother. When you couple that with Hunter’s propensity to addiction, there is little doubt that Hunter is the weaker of the two. Often, the weak family member has a greater chance of being manipulated by family members than if it is with one of stronger character. It appears this is the case with the Biden family.
No one will doubt that Hunter Biden went down a very dark road, and his choices cannot be condoned or even excused. He still is responsible for what he did. But part of the tragedy is seeing someone ruin their lives by evil and sinful choices. However, that is only part of the heartbreak. The other part of the tragedy is more challenging for good-willed people to understand. And that is how a father can use his debilitated son for his financial gain. That is exactly what Joe and his brother Jim did to enrich the Biden family.
Families are supposed to protect their vulnerable members and not exploit them. But that is not what happened with the Bidens. All of the specifics of the arrangement will probably never be known, but what is known is that Hunter was groomed to be the bagman for the Biden enterprises, fleecing millions from foreign countries.
Shell companies were set up, and the ill-gotten monies were dispersed to other family members. Joe Biden protected himself using plausible deniability and only used the moniker of the ‘big guy’ who regularly collected 10% of all monies. If anything, it shows how corrupt Joe Biden and his family are to issue an 11-year pardon for all criminal behavior. We shall see whether Biden will use his presidential clemency powers on other family members or himself.
Nothing can be sadder than a family isolating a weak member and using that vulnerability against them for their own gain. But this happened in the Biden family, motivated by power and money without little regard for what is destroyed in the process. Using Hunter for his gain makes it easy to understand how Joe barely acknowledges that Navy is his granddaughter because the coin had been cast years before.
