Nicolás Maduro Captured

Two-Dimensional Chess on Display: First Drugs, then Oil

What we have learned over the past ten years is that what comes out as news is often a head fake for the real story. If one questions the narrative, they are immediately labeled a conspiracy theorist. History has shown that the so-called conspiracy theorists are closer to the truth than most people would like to acknowledge.

This past weekend, a huge story hit the wires. The United States military captured the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife in their home in Caracas and has them in custody to face trial. The United States indicted Maduro in 2020, accusing him of running a narco-terrorist group that intended to flood the United States with cocaine to undermine the health and well-being of the nation. The DOJ claims Maduro deliberately deployed cocaine as a weapon against the U.S.

The indictment further claims that Maduro used Venezuela’s military to continue the corruption, while the money collected from these illicit drugs was never used to benefit the Venezuelan people. The Trump Administration contends the capture of Maduro was a law enforcement action aided by the military and not a plan to topple the present government. During the press conference, Trump told reporters that the Vice President, Delcy RodrÌguez, appointed by Maduro, would remain as interim President.

Here is where things get sticky.  Apparently, the removal of Maduro is not the only objective of the mission. During the same press conference, Trump said things that overjoyed the neo-conservatives who are all in for regime changes across the world, the likes of Sen. Lindsey Graham, who is now advocating land strikes.

The neo-conservatives, mostly war mongers, are reacting to his statements. Trump said, “We’re not afraid of boots on the ground if we have to. He continued, “We had boots on the ground last night.” He further explained, “The U.S. will run the country until a new leader can be chosen.”

Trump then spent a good deal of time during the press conference explaining the mission’s real objective—oil. Venezuela has the largest oil deposits in the world. Trump claims the American oil companies were hijacked by the socialist governments of Hugo Chávez and his successor, Maduro. Trump claims the machinery and ability to pump crude oil is so dilapidated that Venezuela only receives a fraction of the money they could have, while the ordinary citizens of the country live in poverty.

Oil is the primary purpose Trump chose to capture Maduro. The reason is that increased oil production is a tremendous geopolitical advantage to the United States.  Once pumping in Venezuela reaches full capacity, the price of oil worldwide will drop, simply due to supply and demand.

Once the price of oil worldwide nose-dives, countries like Iran and Russia will feel the effects, with lost oil revenues. In essence, what Trump is trying to do is bankrupt these two trouble-making countries from using oil revenues for nefarious reasons.

It is not only Iran and Russia that Trump is targeting. He has placed a bullseye on China, which relies on oil imports to run its economy and military apparatus. If Trump is successful in regulating the price of oil worldwide, he is thwarting the Communist Chinese Party and protecting the U.S. from their planned advances.

Trump’s plan for the oil industry is one prong of a two-pronged plan against China. In recent years, China’s Belt and Road Initiative has made substantial inroads in South America and the Caribbean. By working with the Venezuelan people, the United States will stake a claim in South America and perhaps slow China’s influence in that region.

So, for all you neo-conservatives who are salivating for another war, sorry, it won’t happen. And to those conservatives who are against war, as is GMC, relax, Trump is two steps ahead and is showing what needs to be done in the world for MAGA to work for longer than just Trump’s term.
