The blasphemous opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris – which featured among other atrocities a drag queen mockery of the Last Supper, an actor with his exposed genitalia posing as Dionysius, the Greek god of orgies, and images of a headless Marie Antoinette – was an abomination. What used to be a night of celebration for billions of people around the world to applaud superlative athletic achievement was turned into a barbaric example of how a satanic sex cult has spread its perversion into every aspect of Western culture.
The definition of perversion is “the alteration of something from its original course, meaning, or state to a distortion or corruption of what was first intended.” That is exactly what the neo-pagans have done.
These people are not satisfied with quietly living their own sinful lives. They insist on shoving their sick perversions in everybody’s face. And like a virus, these neo-pagans corrupt everything they touch, from marriage, the military, and education, to entertainment, sports and even beer. Nothing is safe from these sick whackos.
The backlash was enormous, with French citizens taking it upon themselves to apologize to viewers for their country’s “freakshow” and “sick farce.” Leading an Olympic spokesperson to disingenuously claim that “clearly, there was never an intention to show disrespect towards any religious group or belief. On the contrary, each of the tableaux in the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony were intended to celebrate community and tolerance.”
What a load of BS! These perverts knew exactly what they were doing. This spectacle was deliberately intended to show the utmost disrespect toward the Eucharist, the heart of Christianity, which Jesus Christ instituted at the Last Supper, and by extension any Christians who were watching.
The French organizers dared not mock Islam, which also considers homosexual behavior to be sinful, after the fatal 2015 attack at Charlie Hebdo magazine. But Christians are considered fair game for their intolerance.
There is no longer any doubt that the alphabet-crowd is intent on destroying Christianity and Western culture upon which its institutions rest. Their view of the future – a hellish dystopia of vulgarity and sin – was on full display in Paris.
As Christians, we are called to be in the world, not of it. That doesn’t mean we must condone such blasphemy. The Olympics used to be a family-friendly spectacle of the best athletes representing their own countries meeting in friendly competition. Unfortunately, it has degenerated into a individualistic, base and increasingly bizarre forum for the worst aspects of fallen human nature.
We don’t have to participate in this vile and vulgar mockery. Turn off the Olympics and unlike Lot’s wife, don’t look back.
