It’s Time to Go Lying Joe

Yesterday evening, the outgoing president gave his farewell address to the nation. His remarks lasted about sixteen minutes, and anyone paying attention found his speech hard to follow. In his final pitch to the country, Biden continued to promote his ideologies through veiled rhetoric.

Like most of the left, he started by referencing the Statue of Liberty in an attempt to once more validate his open border policy without ever saying so. The problem with Biden’s reasoning is that those who immigrated to America came through Ellis Island and followed the country’s laws. The legal immigration symbolized by the Statue of Liberty is something entirely different from the lawlessness of migrants, with the tacit approval of the Biden administration to disregard the laws of a sovereign nation openly and brazenly. Voters knew the difference and made their opinions known by removing the present administration from office.

Biden then veered to talk about how the institutions of democracy are under attack. He fails to mention that citizens are pushing back because those hallowed institutions are at war with the people. With its selective enforcement of the law, the DOJ was used as Biden’s prosecutorial army against his political rivals.  The out-of-control FBI harasses and charges pro-life and Catholic organizations for nothing more than exercising their constitutional rights.

He fears that the future Democratic Party’s lawfare playbook is being challenged as citizens rightly call out the corrupted institutions he commandeered as a threat to the country. Only minutes later, he disses one institution he thinks needs reforming. The Supreme Court, which he could not control, is ripe for criticism from the President, who has a 39% approval rating. Biden believes that the institution of the Supreme Court needs to have term limits, something he would never recommend to those in Congress.

Unbelievably, Biden had the nerve to claim he was the president of everyone during his four-year term. He conveniently forgot his creepy speech in Philadelphia two years ago, flanked by Marines with a red demonic-themed background. In that speech, Biden defined Maga Republicans as extremists and terrorists. He said in 2022, “MAGA forces are determined to take this country backward. Backward to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.” Just before the election, Biden referred to Republican voters as garbage, a statement that backfired immensely on Harris’ campaign. So much for being a President for all Americans!

He touted his economic prowess by claiming how many jobs he created while in office without telling the public the growth was due to workers returning to work after the pandemic. Nowhere in his address did he acknowledge the crippling inflation due to his Marist policies that have caused financial instability to many Americans.  Credit card debt is the highest it has ever been, and this is due to the inflation he caused by his reckless spending and by severely hampering the domestic energy industry.

The crescendo of his ramblings concerns his fear of social media and misinformation. Biden laments that he can no longer manipulate his misinformation because the public no longer trusts the mainstream media. Filling the vacuum are independent sources of information emanating from social media sites such as X and podcasts. Biden is coherent enough to realize that with all of the independent streams of information available, a government cannot censor all of them. And this is a good thing.

If there is one thing you can say about Biden’s farewell speech, he is consistent. He has always had trouble telling the truth before, during, and after his Presidency, and his Pinocchio nose grew ever larger as he spoke last night.
