Hurricane Helene will probably go down as one of the worst natural disasters our country has ever witnessed. The images and stories from residents that have come from hardest hit areas of western North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee show utter mass destruction and devastation. Homes have been flattened, and businesses have been destroyed. Many people are still trapped in the remote mountain areas because the roads they used to traverse the foothills no longer exist. Countless are without power. Hundreds of thousands are without food and water. There is no cell reception. And sadly, bodies continue to be pulled from the mud. The death toll as of October 9th is 232, and the loss of property is estimated to be $47 billion.
The leftists would have you think that they alone have a monopoly on kindness and that anyone wearing a MAGA hat is heartless and cruel. So, let’s look at how the most empathetic, caring, and compassionate administration that has ever graced the White House has responded to this disaster.
First, let’s start with our befuddled vacationing president, Joe Biden. He took a week to visit the area and ten full days to send troops and advanced technological assets to assist in search and rescue missions. When asked by a reporter, “What do the states in the storm zone need, Mr. President?” Biden responded, “Sorry?” The reporter asked again, “What do the states in the storm zone, what do they need after what you saw today?” Biden replied, “Oh the storm zone. I am wondering which storm you are talking about.” Then, after he jogged his addled brain that many areas of the South are still in a state of emergency, Biden obviously told a bald-faced lie based on nothing but his imagination, stating, “They are getting everything they need. They are very happy across the board.” Fact check – false.
And what was the cackling vice president, Kamala Harris, doing during the aftermath of Helene? She attended high-end San Francisco and L.A. fundraisers with California elites raking $55 million. Here’s the gourmet menu for one of those events – duck egg roll, goat cheese honey blueberry ball, beef wellington, lobster roll, and crab cakes – all while the poor people affected by the hurricane have lost everything, and some haven’t eaten for days.
When Harris finally made it to one of the ravaged areas, she promised the victims a measly $750 using an app that most could not access as they have no phones, internet, or electric service. Harris is trying to distance herself from this disaster. Instead of responding to repeated questions about the federal government’s pathetic response, she appeared on a sleazy X-rated podcast called Call Her Daddy a few days ago to talk about her favorite subject, abortion. Nary a word or care about all the people who are still suffering. To add injury to insult, she pledged $157 million to Lebanon. Talk about tone-deaf.
Let us not forget the feckless Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) falls under Mayorkas’s purview. Last week, Mayorkas dropped a bombshell, saying that his agency lacked funds to make it through hurricane season. Mayorkas remarked, “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane to hit. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season and what is imminent.”
The New York Post is reporting that FEMA has spent $1.4 billion since 2022 on illegal immigrants, and that’s why they are out of money for Americans. This is outrageous as the taxpayer has provided our federal government with funds to help our fellow citizens, not illegal immigration. Turning Point Action reporter Savanah Hernandez posted about how illegal immigrants in Brunswick, Maine, receive two years of free rent and utilities in fully furnished apartments. Monthly rent for a two-bedroom apartment is $2,300, and a one-bedroom is $1,800. No wonder FEMA has no money left. Compare this with the $750 Harris promised the victims of Helene.
This situation is eerily similar to what happened in Maui last year. There has been mass destruction of property, inadequate response by the federal government, and at some point, a near-total media blackout, so the images and horror stories would not illicit sympathy from the American people and outrage aimed at those in charge. There is even talk about investors going in and buying property from vulnerable residents, which also happened in Lahaina, Maui. But, try as they might, there are just too many first-hand testimonials and amateur videos being shared from real people who were there to uncover the truth.
And the truth is this: as much as they try to gaslight us, the Biden administration and all their leftist sycophants do not care at all about the trials and tribulations of regular everyday Americans. The proof is right in front of you; all you have to do is open your eyes and see it. Vote accordingly and cast these anti-American freaks out of power.
