Arrogant Fauci Can Save Himself

"My own personal ethics in life are, I think, enough to keep me going on the right path"

In a recent interview with the BBC’s Katty Kay, the disgraced former director of the NIAID, Dr. Anthony Fauci, was asked if he is still a practicing Catholic. He made this ridiculous response while laughing as he walked along,

“First of all, I think my own personal ethics in life are, I think, enough to keep me going on the right path, and I think there enough negative aspects about the organizational church, that you are very well aware of. I am not against it. I identify myself as a Catholic. I was raised, I was baptized, I was confirmed, I was married in the Church. My children were baptized in the Church, but as far as practicing, it seems almost like a proforma thing that I really don’t need to do.”

This interview, while incredibly disturbing, does help us to understand the nature and mindset of this megalomaniac narcissist who systematically lied to the American people during the COVID-19 crisis. Here are just a few of those falsehoods:

  1. Fauci lied that the virus had natural origins and was not created in a lab in Wuhan, China.
  2. Fauci lied to Congress that he never financed the gain of function research that makes viruses more lethal.
  3. Fauci lied that the mRNA vaccine was safe and effective for everyone, including children.
  4. Fauci lied that a drug he promoted, Remdesivir, was saving lives. On the contrary, it wound up causing kidney failure and death in many patients.
  5. Fauci lied that the masking of children would help to stop the spread of the virus.
  6. Fauci lied that the increase in infection rates was being fueled solely by the unvaccinated.
  7. In a truly bizarre statement, Fauci claimed he was science.

In his arrogance and pride, Fauci thought his “personal ethics” were enough to safeguard him against deceitful and unprincipled behavior. Obviously, they were not.  During the pandemic, Fauci created his own set of truths and seemed to propagate them daily on TV and social media.

Fauci probably felt like he was at the top of his game and untouchable. He was well-known in his field, held a powerful position, was respected, successful, wealthy, and no longer in need of God. His comment that the practice of the faith is “proforma” lets us know that he never fully understood Christianity and why faithful Catholics continue to practice. We know in our hearts that we are fundamentally sinners – wounded, broken, and needing a Savior to intervene in our lives to keep us on the straight and narrow.

When Fauci became his own god, he was no longer beholden to anyone but himself. He decided who should live or die and posited himself as the source of truth; he was the one who decided what people deserved to know.

To think the mainstream media are still propping him up is disheartening. Hopefully, history will set the record straight about this former Catholic who did so much damage to the world. We can hope he has a conversion, but to date, there is not one ounce of retrospection within him, and he has never uttered any apology for the plethora of mistakes he made during the pandemic.

Faithful Catholics should all be glad Fauci is no longer practicing the faith. It would be a massive scandal and utter disappointment to know that someone with this much hubris who has done so much harm considers himself a Catholic in good standing. But his life does serve as a cautionary tale for the rest of us. Leave the practice of the faith at your peril.
