A Coup Within a Coup

Biden Wants to be the Only One to Claim he Beat Trump

How could we not talk about garbage? Five days before election day, the topic of refuse is all the buzz. A couple of days ago, the sitting President called half of the citizens of the United States—garbage. Biden’s comments the other night are the opposite of what he said during his inaugural speech, “We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal.”

In retrospect, his words during his presidency were hollow and meaningless compared to how he feels about fifty percent of the nation who are not supporting the Democratic platform or the candidate they selected for the people. It is hard not to be cynical when the proof of the gulf between the elitists and the working class is clearly articulated. For those who cherish their freedom, this is nothing new. The upper cast of leaders has been working tirelessly to take those freedoms away while believing they are somehow much more intelligent than the average American.

The White House has been attempting damage control with the help of the media, but their efforts have had little effect. The horse has already left the barn, and no one accepts their spin. The Republicans are pouncing on the comment and using it in a lighthearted manner to poke fun at the Democrats. Yesterday, Trump took questions from reporters before his Green Bay rally, sitting in a white garbage truck blazoned with a Trump Vance sign painted on the side.

Biden’s defamatory characterization of half of the country was meant to do exactly what?   Was he keeping in the tradition of Democratic presidents and hopefuls using similar language? Obama, during his campaign against John McCain, said of voters, “And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them.” More recently, he called his fellow black brothers misogynists for not supporting Harris.

Hillary Clinton, when running against Trump in 2016, called his followers “a basket of deplorables” before Trump beat her.  There is a history of the Democrats during presidential races using off-color and hurtful language to the citizens they hope to govern. Biden joins the list of politicians whose comments are indelibly etched on the American political psyche.

Biden’s garbage reference will have no adverse effect on voters for Trump; quite the contrary, it will energize the base all the more. Curiously, Biden remarked when Kamala Harris gave her ending argument speech at the eclipse in Washington, D.C.  Except for her diehards, no one knows what she said or how many digs she gave Trump. Biden upstaged her speech entirely, which leads to the point.

It is no secret that Biden isn’t a big fan of Kamala. She was a DEI hire and, from all logical conclusions, was forced upon Biden by the Democratic party. It is also no secret the relationship between Biden and Obama was never very good. So, when Obama and Pelosi organized and executed the coup this past July, it couldn’t have gone over too well with Biden.  At Ethel Kennedy’s funeral earlier this month, Biden told Obama, “’ She’s not as strong as me.” Obama agreed and said, “‘I know…that’s true…we have time.’

Since Biden was ignominiously removed from his candidacy, he was likely furious. He knew there was a coup against him, which he had little power to stop. But Biden wasn’t the only person run over by the Democratic machine. Biden is the spear’s tip, and the spear’s handle is all his staff who would not have a chance at a second term.  Biden and Harris’s staffs are like oil and water; there is no blending between the two. Harris’s staff has supplanted Biden’s, and they can’t be too happy about it.

So here is the theory. Biden made his atrocious remarks as a dig at the Harris campaign on behalf of himself and his staff.  The staff may have even written a short speech for Biden while hoping to secretly sabotage Harris by taking the oxygen out of the room for the few days left. It certainly is within the realm of possibility. Here is what may be happening. Biden strikes back at his Democratic handlers, and his staff behind him would be assured they wouldn’t be the only ones without jobs.

 A coup within a coup.

“Jesus said to him, ‘Put your sword back into its sheath, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.’” (Mt 26.52)
