Amid the chaos in Minnesota, news broke of a situation miles away developing in Georgia. The reports have nothing to do with immigration, but are about revisiting the 2020 national election. The FBI has executed a search warrant at the Fulton County, Georgia, election office. For the FBI to enter and remove any documents, a judge had to sign off on the warrant. Eyewitnesses at the election center confirm the FBI’s presence and say they have set up a mobile operations center and cordoned off the area with yellow crime scene tape.
The FBI does not investigate civil cases; it investigates only criminal ones. The main election facility for the predominantly Democratic county of Fulton, Georgia, is now a crime scene. Apparently, officials outside Fulton County also took steps to secure the records, and the ballots are under a protective order prohibiting their destruction. Whether that is true or not, there seems to be enough documentation to support the need for a forklift to remove the documents from the facility. A lot of paper is being seized.
For five years, Democrats and feckless Republicans from Georgia continually claimed there was nothing improper with the election. Others saw it a different way. In October of last year, the Department of Justice sent a letter to Fulton County demanding all records from the 2020 election. Fulton County refused to hand over the election results, and a suit was filed in December. As early as last week, while speaking at the World Economic Forum in reference to the 2020 election, Trump stated that “people will soon be prosecuted for what they did.”
When apparent voter fraud was a hot topic in 2020, there was no investigation, even though there seemed to be plenty of reasons to investigate. Republican Governor Brian Kemp did not authorize the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to spend one minute looking into the matter. Kemp held the same line the Democrats were holding by claiming there was no fraud during that election. Who can forget the Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, standing up to Trump’s question and holding fast to the certification of Joe Biden. Both Democrats and Republicans are complicit, one party that organized the cheating and the other party looking the other way.
The FBI warrant and investigation are major events. If the FBI can prove there was fraud in the 2020 election, it opens the door to investigating other states, especially Pennsylvania. For years, the right has been claiming voter fraud perpetuated by the Democrats, and has been met by accusations of conspiracy theorists. The warrant to obtain records is the only way in which the truth can come out.
The operation is more than just a revelation of the truth to the American people about irregularities in the 2020 election. It has a much greater impact than just that. It means that a political party cannot manipulate the will of the voting public by fraud. It will shed light on those who have no right to vote and those who would pad the numbers with deceased and ghost voters.
In the minds of many Democrats and their strategists, this day would never be talked about again. The problem for them is that Trump was elected again by such a significant margin; their cheating that time couldn’t turn the tide. When he did get elected, they may still have thought the 2020 election would remain in the recesses of history and that people would move on. But not Trump.
The 2020 election must be investigated again because of the ramifications of exposing the irregularities and downright cheating on a mass scale. Massive fraud in our country has been perpetrated by the left. Just look at the situation in Minnesota, where millions have been stolen from the taxpayers. Votes can also be stolen in substantial amounts when crooked people are in the system.
A free country cannot accept or condone cheating during local and federal elections. The move of the Trump FBI and DOJ to go after the records and expose fraud is a political and legal move to punish those involved in the deception. Moreover, law enforcement’s actions yesterday are a clear signal to the Democratic Party that cheating-as-usual will not be tolerated.
The timing of the raid, months before the midterm elections, seems unlikely to be coincidental, either. It spotlights the entire procedure nationwide, and any irregularities this time will not be met with cries of conspiracy. What remains to be seen is how committed the DOJ is to bringing justice in the 2020 election.
