On October 9, 2021 Pope Francis held a private audience with none other than, Nancy Pelosi, the most radical, Catholic, pro-abortion politician on the planet. You think this is indictment hyperbolic? Let’s take a walk-through Pelosi’s voting record and then you can decide for yourself.
To begin with Pelosi has earned the highly coveted 100% score from NARAL Pro-Choice America. If you are not familiar with NARAL, they are an uber left non-profit political activist organization that lobbies to oppose any restrictions on abortion and seeks to expand access to abortion all over the country. NARAL targets pro-life candidates and in their own words admit, “…we shine a spotlight of accountability on bad actors that work to impose their ideological agenda on others.” Those bad actors are anyone that stands in defense of the unborn and the ideological agenda they are referring to is that life begins at the moment of conception and the human person should be treated with dignity and respect.
In order to get her 100% rating, Pelosi’s has over the course of her political career voted in lockstep with the abortion lobby. Here is a sample of Pelosi’s record:
- Voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (2017)
- Voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (2015)
- Voted against the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (2014)
- Voted against the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (2006)
- Voted against the Partial-Birth/Late Term Abortion Bill (2003)
- Voted against the Partial-Birth/Late Term Abortion Ban (1995)
- Voted for the Fetal Tissue Research Bill (1993)
Her most recent act to foster the slaughter of innocent babies came just last month as the House of Representatives recently passed the euphemistically entitled Women’s Health Protection Act. It passed along party lines and we all know that Pelosi ordered all her Democrat minions to vote in favor of this bill which attempts to strip the rights of individual states to establish their own legislation to protect the unborn. Pelosi apparently vowed to bring this ghastly piece of legislation to the floor in response to Texas Heartbeat Bill which was enacted on May 19th and began on September 1st of this year.
With this longstanding record of promoting abortion on demand and being personally responsible for the likely deaths of millions of babies over the years, imagine the shock and dismay many Catholics had when Pelosi was granted a private audience with Pope Francis earlier this month. In an awkward and revolting display, Pelosi and Pope Francis are shown smiling, laughing and exchanging gifts with one another. This is the same Pope Francis that refused to meet with Cardinal Burke (a traditional prelate from Wisconsin who co-authored the dubia on Amoris Laetitia) and Cardinal Zen from Hong Kong. Cardinal Zen was particularly anxious to meet with Pope Francis to discuss the unjust treatment of Catholics by the Chinese Communist Party. What does this disgraceful display by Pelosi and Pope Francis tell Catholics worldwide? That the Catholic Church has lost all moral authority and does not even uphold its own teachings. That somehow and unbelievably the hierarchy supports the martyrdom of the innocent unborn.
Pelosi’s archbishop from her home town of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordileone, suggested rosaries, fasting and sending a rose to Pelosi to inspire in his words, “…a conversion of the heart.” If I may be so bold to suggest that refusing Pelosi holy communion and/or excommunicating her are other viable options. But I do encourage you to say rosaries and fast for Pelosi’s and Pope Francis’ conversion. It is only through prayer and fasting that we will be able to expel these demons from our church.
