With the Green New Deal being forced down the throat of the American people by the radical Democrat left, it well past time that we challenge the predications and hypocrisy of those making these ridiculous claims. Rabid environmentalists and climate change academics and scientists have been making wild apocalyptic predictions for almost fifty years about how the world as we know it will end if we don’t do something about carbon emissions, the use of fossil fuels and the consumption of beef. Why should any serious person even listen to theses charlatans anymore?
According the American Enterprise Institute (a bipartisan think tank) here are some of the more ridiculous claims that have been made by the so-called climate experts over the last fifty years:
- 1967 – Famine will engulf the entire globe by 1975
- 1970 – There will be a new ice age by the year 2000
- 1972 – Oil will be depleted in 20 years
- 1974 – Ozone hole will bring great peril to life on Earth
- 1988 – The Maldives Islands will be under water
- 1989 – Rising sea levels will take out nations
- 2000 – Snowfalls are a thing of the past
- 2002 – Famine rampant by 2010 if we don’t stop eating meat
- 2005 – Manhattan will be under water by 2015
- 2008 – Al Gore predicts an ice-free Arctic by 2013
- 2009 – Prince Charles says we have 8 years to save the world
- 2009 – Al Gore changes his ice-free prediction to 2014
- 2018 – U.N.’s “Special Report on Global Warming” predicts the world will end by 2030
- 2019 – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says the world will end in 12 years (1 year later than the U.N.)
- 2021 – No word yet from Al Gore if he is moving the goal posts again
Speaking of Al Gore, the real inconvenient truth is not only the that predictions made by in his hysterical documentaries, which have indoctrinated and continue to indoctrinate many gullible people, have simply not panned out, but his blatant environmental hypocrisy that should make any thoughtful person denounce his activism as purely disingenuous. Gore lives in a 10,000 square foot mansion in Tennessee. According the National Center for Public Policy, Gore’s home, “…guzzles more energy in one year than the average American family uses in 21 year years.” They also report that Gore’s swimming pool alone could run six homes for a year, and from August 2016 to July 2017 he spent almost $22,000 on electric bills. Ironically, Gore tried to reduce his enormous carbon footprint, due to justly deserved criticism, but after adding in solar panels he was only able to reduce his electric bill by about 6%. So now he uses as much energy in one year than the average American family uses in 19 years. Great improvement Al!
All of these predictions were based on faulty models and projections manipulated with algorithms to produce a desired outcome. As the old saying tells us garbage in – garbage out. The climate change activists and academics like to remind us that the “science is settled” meaning there cannot even be any discussion whatsoever of the validity of these models or the predictions they portend. Dissenters are called “climate deniers” if one even thinks of questioning their methods. Could anyone really deny that there is a climate? and yet this is another leftist tactic to label and attempt to humiliate anyone who attempts to stop the insanity.
Most normal people have tended to block out the irrational sky is falling narrative. Unfortunately, many children and young adults without the wisdom or experience advanced age tends to bring, now have developed a new mental illness, Climate Change Anxiety, due to the outrageous claims made by these deceptive, dishonest scientists and activists. The youth of today, who unquestioningly believe the narrative lock stock and barrel, see no hope or future for themselves. This in of itself is criminal.
For the rest of us these ridiculous claims may all seem harmless and not worthy of our attention, but the stakes could not be higher. Freedom loving people need to push back vigorously against this junk science as Marxists the world over are trying to use the manufactured crisis of climate change to usher in the Great Reset, with is actually code for atheistic totalitarian policies and tyrannical governments that will take control of every aspect of our lives. Those who promote dire climate change scenarios also support the evils of population control through sterilization, abortion on demand and euthanasia – of course not for themselves but for the rest of us.
God created the universe and our world. Mere human beings with our limited intellect and lack of prescience can never really alter that which the divine has fashioned. The world is far too complicated and interconnected for our simple minds to contemplate the ramifications of our actions or lack thereof. Instead of hyperventilating about what could happen in the next twenty years, let us use the resources God gave us judiciously, preserve places of beauty which magnify the majesty of the Creator, reasonably work to keep our air and water clean, and ensure that all human beings are treated with dignity and respect.
