Bishops are Not Doctors or Scientists

bishops are mandating that all employees must be vaccinated, no exceptions

The Archdiocese of Chicago as well as other large metropolitan dioceses including Philadelphia and Lexington, Kentucky have mandated forced vaccinations for all of their clergy and lay employees. In addition, the dioceses of New York and Los Angeles have warned priests against granting any religious exemptions for those who do not want to subject themselves to the FDA emergency authorized Covid-19 vaccines irrespective of the fact that the mRNA shots either have fetal cell lines present within them (Johnson & Johnson) or have used fetal cell lines in the research and development of the vaccines (Moderna & Pfizer).

In an email sent to all employees and clergy Cardinal Cupich of Chicago wrote, “We have made this decision convinced that this is the best way to stop the spread of this deadly illness.” How and why the prince of the Church made the proclamation is not mentioned in the dictate. Is Cardinal Cupich a scientist or doctor? Did he confer with experts, or is he just following the herd racing to be in compliance with government mandates?

Bishops are making decisions about people's employment in dioceses without any scientific or medical expertise

If any of the CEO’s did any research and rely on scientific facts, the science would not bear out their assertions.  Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the underlying mRNA technology used to create the vaccines in an op-ed co-written by Dr. Peter Navarro in the Washington Times, stated clearly that mass vaccinations of what he terms a “leaky” (a.k.a. non-effective) vaccine will not stop the spread of Covid-19.

Dr. Malone wrote, “The more people you vaccinate, the greater the number of vaccine-resistant mutations you are likely to get, the less durable the vaccines will become, ever more powerful vaccines will have to be developed, and individuals will be exposed to more and more risk.” Drs. Malone and Navarro explain, “If the entire population has been trained via a universal vaccination strategy to have the same basic immune response, then once a viral escape mutant is selected, it will rapidly spread through the entire population – whether vaccinated or not.” Simply put, massive vaccinations are the seed bed for future and more harmful forms of COVID. Malone concludes, ““A far more optimal strategy is to vaccinate only the most vulnerable. This will limit the amount of vaccine-resistant mutations and thereby slow, if not halt, the current vaccine arms race.”

So, it appears that Cardinal Cupich and his minions have not done due diligence and consulted a variety of high-level sources including an expert virologist, Dr. Malone who has devoted his career to vaccines, before enacting their draconian policies. The decision was most likely made on their feeling that mandating vaccines will stop Covid-19.  In addition, Cardinal Cupich still calls the disease deadly despite the dramatic drop in death rates since the onset of the virus in the spring of 2020. This is presumably a way to further scare, intimidate and pressure the unvaccinated into submission.

What is even more shocking than the total lack of scientific analysis on the part of the Cupich and the Archdiocese of Chicago is that religious exemptions will not be given to anyone who objects to the vaccinations even though the pharmaceutical companies have used aborted fetal cell lines in either the manufacture or the research and development of the vaccines. Cupich said, “Religious exemptions to vaccination cannot be supported by Catholic teaching and I have instructed our pastors not to grant them.” According to Cupich, any faithful Catholic who opposes abortion cannot claim a conscientious moral objection to the vaccines if they plan to stay employed by the Archdiocese of Chicago.  Cardinal Dolan from New York and Bishop Gomez from Los Angeles have also taken a similar position.

There is not widespread agreement however on the declination of religious exemptions as more thoughtful prelates have a different opinion on granting a moral objection. In  Colorado and South Dakota bishops issued a lengthy statement supporting the right of an individual to follow their conscience and express their God given freedom to refuse medical treatments including the Covid-19 vaccine. In essence, depending on where you live, you either have freedom or if you reside in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, you are expected to give up your God-given freedom.  What ever happened to Catholic meaning universal?
