Archbishop Carlo Mario Viganò, the former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America, in a recent address has called for an anti-globalist alliance to fight the totalitarianism and tyranny we see being enacted simultaneously all over the world. Archbishop Viganò drew worldwide attention when he issued a seething eleven page letter in 2018 accusing Pope Francis and other high ranking church officials in Rome and the United States, including retired Cardinal Donald Wuerl of D.C., of covering up the many crimes of sexual assault that Cardinal Theodore McCarrick is alleged to have committed against many young men and boys over the years. Viganò stated, “The appointments of Blase Cupich to Chicago and Joseph Tobin to Newark were orchestrated by McCarrick, Maradiaga [another Vatican kingmaker] and Wuerl united by a wicked pact of abuses by the first, and at least of coverup of abuses by the other two.”
So according to Viganò’s letter, it appears that there is an established toxic culture within the church that not only propagates secrecy and criminal coverups, but also rewards those who keep quiet and extol the party line.
In his initial letter, Viganò claimed that McCarrick had been sanctioned under the papacy of Pope Benedict. When Pope Francis was elevated to the chair of St. Peter, the sanctions had been lifted and McCarrick was free to travel the world. It was McCarrick who was then sent to China to broker an unholy deal with the CCP allowing Beijing the authority to name Catholic bishops. McCarrick has since been arrested and is awaiting trial which totally vindicates and validates Viganò’s claims.
Since this time, Viganò has become a voice of opposition against the rampant corruption of the Vatican and Catholic Church. He has since written and published numerous letters with the help of traditional Catholic and secular publications encouraging the faithful to hold firm to our beliefs and uphold the Kingship of Christ amidst a radical, progressive and heretical papacy bound and determined to destroy the church from within.
Viganò now turns his attention to the rest of the world as he warns us of the epic spiritual, economic, and political battle we are embroiled in and describes this conflict as, “the children of light” combatting “the children of darkness.” In his most recent address, he begins with this statement, “For two years now we have been witnessing a global coup d’état, in which a financial and ideological elite has succeeded in seizing control of part of national governments, public and private institutions, the media, the judiciary, politicians and religious leaders.” Certainly, anyone who has not been living under a rock can attest to this new reality.
Viganò talks about how our basic human rights have been, “trampled underfoot in the name of an emergency.” He predicts that today’s health emergency will turn into tomorrow’s climate emergency and then to an internet emergency forever stoking fear and allowing ruthless politicians an opportunity to overstep their legitimate powers in the name of public safety. Viganò also talks about how many people worldwide are unwitting participants in this global war as they simply comply without fulling understanding the, “significance of what is happening.” You may recognize some of these accomplices among your own families and friends.
And what is happening is the Great Reset fostered by the likes of Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates and the World Economic Forum. You may have heard or seen their unnerving advertisement, “You will own nothing and be happy.” The Great Reset also means the end of world religions as we know them – an end to Christianity. As Viganò states, “It is the plan of the New World Order, in which a Universal Republic enslaves everyone and a Religion of Humanity cancels Faith in Christ.”
Viganò calls for an anti-global alliance to fight for the, “…common good, the moral principles of Christianity, traditional values, the protection of life and the natural family, the protection of business and work, the promotion of education and research, and respect for creation.” He calls for all men and women of good will worldwide to, “…ally themselves under the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the only King and Savior, the Prince of Peace.”
As a final warning Viganò cautions us what might happen if we continue to allow these totalitarian regimes (including those in the United States) to continue unchecked. He says, “…this infernal regime that is establishing itself everywhere will not be able to be stopped.” A dire warning if ever there was one.
All those who love and worship Christ the King must resist in ways big and small. Get involved in your local community serving on school boards, library boards and in other civic capacities. Make your Christian virtues of morality, honesty and integrity manifest in the public square. For too long we as Christians have shirked our responsibility and allowed un-Godly participants to drive the local and national agenda. Also please pray for the safety of Archbishop Viganò as he takes on the global establishment. May God have mercy on us and protect us from our enemies.
