The American people have spoken. There is a sigh of relief and hope permeating throughout the country. Polls and the mainstream media kept telling the public that the election was neck and neck. The reasoning behind the poll numbers was based upon the narrative that the country was hopelessly divided 50-50. The election results prove that the theory of an equally divided country is false.
Trump’s electoral landslide and the winning of the popular vote prove that most Americans disagree totally or in part with the Marxist Democratic Party. Those who fought hard and voted to restore civil rights and protect the First Amendment of free speech have every right to bask in the victory for a couple of weeks. It’s time to savor the win and become aware that more citizens think like you than you may have first thought.
According to the election results, more people have rejected identity politics and all the evils that result in separating people for political gain. This is important to remember because the way back to a moral country will not be achieved with one election or one president but with a public who stands up for what is right and pushes back on the minority who desires to ruin families and the culture they participate in.
The citizens are now protected from the totalitarianism of the neutered present administration, which, in the past, would have no qualms about punishing them for speaking out. Their vote Tuesday assured them they need not be fearful of law enforcement breaking down their doors and hauling them off to prison. The Constitution and the rule of law are coming back, and people need not cower in fear of government reprisals.
Voting to change the government is one thing, but bringing back a moral society is another. There is no greater opportunity than now when the average person can begin to change the minds of their relatives and neighbors who believe the left’s philosophy is the correct policy. Remind them that the Democrats now have a platform based on the death and destruction of the country, families, and themselves. These people need to be convinced that life is far superior to death. There is no better time to start taking back the culture as it is now.
A Christian can try to change minds by doing things requiring little effort and personal courage. This past election season, a faithful Christian woman was dismayed that her neighbor, directly across the street, was vigorously promoting the Democratic platform.
Disturbed by the public display, the Spirit moved the Christian woman to place her sign in her yard directly across the street. Instead of honoring a Marxist party, she put a sign of the Blessed Mother with the inscription invoking Mary for to pray for the U.S. It is uncertain what effect the two signs have. Still, one thing is sure: the public saw both, which might give one who passes by at least a pause. By placing an image of the Blessed Mother in her yard, the Christian woman peacefully opened up a possibility for the public to reflect on the differences of a society with and without God. The change in the country’s attitude makes it easier to do the same. Never be intimidated by bullies.
Granted, it is a small thing, but if many people do small things, it adds up, just like one vote added to others may soon become a landslide. Trump will handle the government side; we are called to work on the spiritual side by reminding our neighbors that a future protecting life brings about human fulfillment and prosperity instead of policies pitting one group of people against the other.
It is also an excellent time to reflect on how God’s hand contributed to the victory. Numerous Christians were praying for this country. Those prayers were answered, not to mention how significant his saving hand was in sparing Trump from the assassin’s bullet in Butler, Pennsylvania. This moment was so critical that Trump referred to it again during his victory speech. “And I said that many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason. And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness. And now we are going to fulfill that mission.”
If Trump realizes the importance of this time in history is by God’s plan, we must see it too. If we all do our small part, the wokeness and evil of society can be systematically dismantled. Motivated by the Spirit and fellow citizens who have resoundingly said “enough,” it is a task we can’t wait to start.
