A Clever Way to Mainstream Sin

“He Gets Us” Superbowl Ad Used to Manipulate Christian Doctrine

Now that the dust has settled on the neopagan circus called the Super Bowl, GMC would like to address a series of disturbing images and messages that sports fans and celebrity-obsessed groupies were intentionally exposed to and subliminally indoctrinated with.

Let’s begin with “Christian values” pop star Taylor Swift, dating Kansas City Chief’s tight end, Travis Kelce. Swift has been very outspoken in her support of the democrat party and their anti-life agenda.  Swift was continually featured on the stadium’s jumbotron in her million-dollar skybox flanked by her rapper friend, Ice Spice. At one point during the game, Ice Spice, clad in an unwholesome Balenciaga outfit (including an upside-down cross), flashed what appeared to be demonic symbols.

Two years ago, Swift and Spice collaborated on a song/music video entitled Karma, which includes satanic imagery. These two marginally talented, wayward women are being artificially featured and promoted. They are held up as role models for young girls. The forces of evil are no longer hidden, and they are slowly and systematically desensitizing the masses to an anti-Christian, demonic culture.

So where are all the good guys fighting this cultural rot and moral destruction? Enter the faux Christian group called He Gets Us. This woke organization was also featured during the Super Bowl in the form of a 100 million dollar ad campaign that ran two commercials during the game.  Using somewhat creepy-looking artificial intelligence imagery coupled with a mournful soundtrack playing in the background, a series of stills showed a person washing the feet of one of the downtrodden.

Displayed were the Christian left’s A-list of the most marginalized in society: an alcoholic, a climate activist, a criminal, a migrant, a Muslim, an LGBT youth, a trans man, and a young woman at a Planned Parenthood clinic. The commercial ends with these words dramatically flashing across the screen, “Jesus didn’t teach hate. He washed feet. He gets us.”

The message is clear. If you in any way, shape, or form object to the horrors of abortion, the castration and sterilization of young people, pagan-like earth worship, unbridled addiction, or illegal immigration – you are the most horrible human being alive – you are a hater. This is an adulterated view of sin, conversion, and redemption.

While acknowledging that we are all sinners and need a Savior, it is important to remember that while Jesus interacted with all different types of people, he gently called out their offenses and told them to sin no more. Examples include the woman at the well, Mary Magdalene, and the sick man at the pool.  It is not enough just to be forgiven or ‘understood’ because real conversion calls one to change their ways and turn away from the sins they are committing.

Unfortunately, this ad seems to condone, accept, and justify lifestyles and personal decisions that hurt many people and those around them. It would have been a more powerful message to show those who have been embraced by the love of God and have made the hard decision to change their lives for the better, such as Mike Lindell, who is mercilessly mocked.

The best response to this misleading ad was the Babylon Bee, who made their own clever parody version, Satan: He Gets Us. Pictured are two gay men with – He accepts you as you are. Pictured is a morbidly obese man with – He never wants you to change. Pictured is a drug addict with – He believes in you. Pictured are looters with – He affirms everything about you, especially your sin. Cut to a black screen with – He wants to be in eternity with you, forever. Satan – He gets us.

Yes, Satan does get us and routinely uses our human weakness against us, and misled Christians who invoke the name of Jesus and Christianity to encourage people to accept and embrace sin is abhorrent and borderline blasphemous. Many left-leaning Christians are watering down and sacrificing the truth in the name of love and inclusion. While their intentions may be good, they inevitably lead many people astray.

The best way to evangelize others is to lead a good and holy life and sacrifice for the faith. This is the way Christianity spread in the past and the only way we will win back the souls who have embraced the cultural shift and been led down this evil and demonic path.
