The Globalists and the Democratic Party are starting to get worried thirty days outside the presidential election. With the many problems the Democrats created and are forced to defend, the one thing that scares them the most is losing the narrative they have previously enjoyed.
They should be apprehensive, as a new media landscape is emerging. The rise of blogs and podcasts substantially reduces the mainstream media’s megaphone, providing you with a more diverse range of viewpoints. This monopoly is being challenged in real-time, and more and more people are getting their news analysis outside conventional outlets.
This is why John Kerry attacked the First Amendment at the World Economic Forum, complaining that it harms democracy. Varying views make it much harder for the globalist elites to enact policies and programs if the citizenry has access to the truth.
On Tuesday, the purveyor of falsehoods, Adam Schiff, posted on his website the need for tech companies to shut down free speech under the guise of saving democracy. “We write to your platforms as concerned Members of Congress, seeking further information about your preparation for and response to the spread of misinformation and disinformation.”
Kerry and Schiff aren’t the only ones in recent days working to suppress the freedom of speech with spurious claims. During the Vice-Presidential Debate, moderator Margaret Brennan could not help herself and broke the debate’s rule, abstaining from fact-checking during the debate. There was little doubt that her outburst was directed at the Republican candidate, J. D. Vance.
Besides breaking the rule, Brennan was factually incorrect in her claim that the Haitian immigrants were not illegal. Vance masterfully schooled her and claimed they were unlawful. The truth was they were given against the law, a type of amnesty under the Biden administration, via a mobile app on the phones supplied by the government to be flown into Ohio without the public’s knowledge. Within seconds, CBS cut off Vance and Walz’s microphones.
In the same debate, Vance directly addressed this topic by saying, “Harris would like to censor people who engage in misinformation, ” describing it as “a much bigger threat to democracy than anything we’ve seen in the last four or forty years.”
Vance is correct; under the present administration, the American public has never been more censored by the government than they are today. Free speech is on the ballot. Of course, the public is concerned about many other issues, such as inflation, crime, and the threat of a world war. Nothing is more crucial for a free country than the ability to speak the truth or express one’s opinion without being the target of the government’s power.
If the Harris/ Walz ticket is elected for the next four years, you can be assured censorship will grow, not diminish. Social media accounts will be scrutinized with the help of big tech, and any person remotely using these platforms to defend the vulnerable may be open to criminal charges if it doesn’t parrot the government’s narrative. Communications between individuals via mobile phones may also be tapped and subjected to the same abuse.
The knee-jerk reaction is to label any increase in censorship as a conspiracy theory or, better yet, misinformation. Who would have ever thought the power of government would demand that men compete in women’s sports or mandate female hygiene in boys’ bathrooms? Or who would have ever envisioned a Supreme Court Justice unable to define what a woman is?
When speech is censored, it no longer becomes free speech. If the public no longer has a say, they are no longer part of a representative republic; they are its subjects. With their voices silenced and the ability to challenge power gone, a country devolves into totalitarianism. Free speech is the premier right of the citizen, and if it is squashed, all the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are also at stake. Just ask an ordinary citizen of Communist China.
This election is all about free speech. Without it, your voice will never be heard, and democracy will disappear in this great county. Vote for free speech and support independent voices whenever you can.
